Spring Break College Tour

New Orleans Flyer2.0

Project MALE will travel to New Orleans, LA for our annual Spring Break trip April 2-5, 2016. This year we have decided to incorporate a college tour as a major component of our trip.

During our trip we will tour Dillard University and Xavier University as well as travel to Jackson, MS to tour Jackson State University.

While in New Orleans we will see the sites such as the Whitney Plantation, the French Quarter, the Lower Ninth Ward, the world famous Bourbon Street as well as take a swamp tour and ride on the Steamboat Natchez.

This year we are taking 13 young men on this life changing trip and we can not do this without your help. We are seeking travel scholarships for our young men to help lower the cost of this trip.

Video Clip from WSBTV Channel 2 Action News

During the 2015 Thanksgiving holiday, Project M.A.L.E. fed the homeless and Darryn Moore of WSBTV Channel 2 Action News provided coverage on our efforts and our organization.

We were successful in preparing 100 hot meals that consisted of spaghetti, corn, tossed salad and bread. We also provided bottled water and snack bags.

Meeting Congressman John Lewis (D), 5th District

On October 9, 2015 our young men were given an opportunity to meet with a living legend, civil rights activist and Freedom Rider United States Congressman John Lewis, (D) Georgia’s 5th District.
This meeting took place in his Washington, DC. office on Capitol Hill.

While the young men enjoyed Georgia peanuts and Coca Cola, the Congressman inspired them to always stand up for what is right.

Trip to Washington, DC.

Project MALE would like to be a part of history by attending the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March in October. Also on the trip, we plan to visit the White House, Howard University, Georgetown University and Wake Forest University.

We need your help in order to make this trip a possibility.
